Younger children
Children aged 6 and under are seen for dental examinations free of charge when a parent or guardian is registered with the practice, so they do not need a plan.
Why start early
Children who see a dentist regularly from a young age are far less likely to need invasive treatment later. Early visits are about familiarity as much as anything: a ride in the chair, a count of the teeth, and a conversation about brushing.
Fissure sealants are a thin protective coating applied to the biting surfaces of the back teeth, where decay most often starts. They are included on the children’s plan.
